Eliseo Rodriguez
President & Chief Executive Officer
As President and CEO of the Adaptive Group of companies, Eliseo Rodriguez is the driving force behind our strategies and growth. Together with a hand-picked team of experienced and respected experts, he is an active participant in our operations, engineering, R&D, finance and project implementation efforts.
Eliseo has been in the controls and automation industry for 25+ years. He has executed a wide range of automation projects globally, from electrical design to research and implementation of multivariate model predictive control solutions for industrial automation applications. He remains passionate about developing and implementing new technologies for our customers’ benefit.
Dennis Tobias
Vice President Technology
Our Founder, Dennis Tobias has been involved in the design, development, and implementation of Adaptive control systems for over 35 years. These systems include positioning devices for semiconductor processing equipment, fast speed elevator control, the control design for high voltage plasma systems, and control strategies for dynamic multi-phase, multi-reaction chemical processes. He has developed a unique package of algorithms for optimal adaptive control, and with it, the technology that makes it possible to develop the proprietary Adaptive Process Control Instrument.
In 1992, Dennis formed Adaptive Resources, Inc. and developed the first incarnation of our unique Adaptive process control software (QuickStudy and Q-MAST). The QuickStudy Adaptive Process Controller and Q-MAST Modeling and Simulation Tool is the result of eleven years of research and development in the field of optimal control. Under Dennis’s oversight, both of these products received The ISA Innovators Center President’s Award in 1999 in Philadelphia.
He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering with concentration on modern control theory and computer science; his dissertation was on algorithms for optimal and adaptive discrete control. He is the author and co-author of many technical articles as well as speaker at IEEE and ISA meetings and conferences. He holds copyrights and patents associated with the Adaptive process control technology and its industrial applications.
Roberto Baez
Vice President, LATAM Operations
From our facilities in Guadalajara, Mexico, Roberto Baez supports our operations effort throughout Latin America overseeing the day-to-day business functions for the entire region.
During his 22+ years in the industrial automation business. Roberto has carried out and led many successful projects in Mexico, Caribbean, Central and South America, mainly in the food and beverage industry, providing essential expertise in PLC and SCADA Programming, MPC configuration and implementation, MES, Industry 4.0 solutions, Project Management, Operations and Sales. his team provides best-in-class services for our customers, he believes in simplicity in life and in work, focus on the customer and act on what is important.
Falon Simmons
Vice President & General Manager
Falon Simmons is an excellent example of the value of multiple skill sets and talents for an organization like ours. He successfully manages not just our sales and marketing functions, but, thanks to his deep understanding of the technology we implement, also successfully oversees the day-to-day operations for our business.
Falon has worked over 25+ years in the controls and automation industry, where he has developed a keen understanding of how to help identify our customers challenges, as well as connecting them to the appropriate individuals and expertise within the Adaptive Group of companies.
Rich Rees
Director of Engineering
Rich Rees manages our impressive team of Project Managers and Engineers each day, as they navigate the challenges of our many projects. He also provides sales support for the company and handles critical project budgeting, scheduling, implementation, and standardization activities.
Rich has worked 25+ years in the controls and automation industry. He has automated irrigation systems, developed automation package handling systems and successfully implemented hundreds of food & beverage projects around the world.
Amanda Downey
Controller
A successful company is built upon a strong infrastructure, and a passion for the details. As our Controller, Amanda Downey is that individual. She guides the Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources activities for the Adaptive Group of companies.
Amanda is a CPA with 25 years experience between tax and corporate accounting.
