Job Summary:

Lead a team of engineers responsible for process, design, integration and launch of new projects budget for new food automation manufacturing process lines. Support both new product manufacturing processes and legacy process improvements. Perform work in a centralized manufacturing engineering activity or assembly/plant activity where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment.

Lead a group of automation engineers engaged in developing budget for customer manufacturing processes, equipment/tooling alternatives, sequence and flow of operations for the effective utilization of personnel, material, machines and facilities necessary to food process automation.

Provide direction and guidance regarding food automation manufacturing requirements during the product development process, assuring product compatibility for food automation manufacturing operations. Responsible for selecting the appropriate human resources needed to implement customer project.

Develop cost estimates for food automation manufacturing processes. Responsible for calculating engineering budget for the On-Site support implementation based in customer project request. Responsible for project timing initial plan, milestones, budget and KPI's. Support personnel on major budget product changes and operations improvements projects. Serve as a liaison between product design teams in Mexico and headquarters in Dallas, Texas.

Manage day to day activities of a team of engineers in North America, Mexico, Central America and South America including setting objectives, managing results, and evaluating/coaching individual performance. Perform basic professional food automation manufacturing engineering

assignments usually associated with food product support and manufacturing process. Apply standard engineering techniques, analysis, procedures and criteria in specific situations. Produce and correlate data. Recognize discrepancies in results. Investigate problems, identifies optimal solutions and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Independently evaluate problems or opportunities, initiate required activities, identify solutions, and apply standard engineering analysis tools to evaluate and select solutions. Cost the work of designers, technicians and others who assist in specific assignments.

 

Minimum requirements:

Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Controls Engineering or a related field plus 3 years of experience in Industrial Automation, Machine Vision, and Robotics.
